ELMER DAY.    An event of story telling, crafts and games

Elmer Day is an annual celebration of the popular children’s character ‘Elmer the Patchwork Elephant’.  Created by David McKee, Elmer was first published in 1989. Since then, Elmer’s iconic patchwork and playful character have made him a firm favourite in millions of households across the world.
Elmer encourages children to accept each others’ differences and practice tolerance and kindness.
Children are invited to come dressed in their brightest colours and attend the Derwent Valley BRIDGE Library event as part of the national Elmer Day.
Saturday 26th May 10.30 till 12.30. All are welcome. FREE ENTRY.
