Intergalactic Activity Day
17 children attended a very successful Intergalactic Activity Day on 19th August. There were rockets to colour and build, planets to construct, shooting stars and space themed bracelets to make. There were also plenty of delicious cupcakes to enjoy. Everyone had a brilliant day.
Mr David Jeffels has asked if we could print his letter which all the volunteers involved in the day appreciate.
Many thanks to everyone involved in staging the great space age event at DVB on Monday. The planning and expertise of those organising it enabled some 17 youngsters to not only enjoy a terrific activity afternoon but to socialise with other children. The atmosphere was wonderful and I’m sure the children got so much benefit from it, learning new craft and artistic skills. It followed the big success of the earlier space ship making event. And thanks too all those who made that great array of cup cakes which were obviously a big hit with the children. Overall, a splendid event, superbly organised and one which gave a lot of pleasure to children and adults. David Jeffels NYCC
