Knit and Stitch

The group meets on the second and last Wednesday evening of the month from 7 – 9 pm. All abilities are welcome and help can be given if you want to learn to knit or crochet.

It is an informal session where you can have a “cuppa” and a chat in the company of other enthusiastic crafters.

There is a charge of £2 per evening, which goes towards the hire of the room and  refreshments.

The group is fully subscribed at the moment, but they have a waiting list. Please be sure to let one of the volunteers know if you would like to add your name.

Snowflake Saturday

As thoughts turn to towards Christmas at the library, the members of the Knitting and Craft Group use their many skills to make items to sell at this (now annual) event. Snowflake Saturday usually takes place in late November and is an opportunity for members of the public to purchase beautiful handmade products at very reasonable prices, all with a Christmas theme.

Refreshments (including mulled wine) are served throughout the day and all proceeds go towards the running costs of the library.

Snowflake Saturday is one of our best fundraising activities!
