Build a Rocket Day

On Monday 22nd July the Library turned into NASA headquarters! 23 children and their parents made a variety of rockets of all shapes and sizes. Some were launched by some of the children at the back of the library. But…oops… some didn’t quite make it into space and are either lodged in the trees or on the library roof! However, great fun was had by all and after 2 hours the rockets went home with the children. One little boy had made a rocket bigger than himself and struggled to get it into the family car! Thanks to everyone who took part and to the volunteers who organised and ran this event.
